We're constantly being told that our natural gas supply is running short, fair enough, it's bound to happen sooner or later.
The one thing that strikes me about this though, has to be why, if when water is low, they issue bans for hosepipes. How about banning Gas Fire Showrooms from having all their display fires on? It makes sense don't ya think, just think of the amount of gas that'll be saved. If a customer wants to see what the fire looks like in action, make them watch a recording of the fire on display and let me have at least an extra year's worth of gas for my oven.
