I'm a bit daft and under the influence of various narcotics so will someone explain this whole 'illegal plant' scenario to me please?

Its my understanding that about 50years ago some middle aged government fkrs decided that am allowed to grow and consume apples, pears, and grapes, but am not allowed to grow and consume marijuana and opium poppies.

That can't be right surely?

I've heard of racism and sexism, but plantism? What the fk?

How can some brandy guzzling government tossers decide to make nature illegal?
